The Personal Property Securities Act regime establishes a national security register for the benefit of businesses operating within the finance sector, leasing or hire arrangements, the construction industry and other industries where retention of title plays a key role in the provision of goods and services.
Secured parties can register their security interest in collateral owned by the debtor on one national database.
