Maree Slingsby

Principal Maree Slingsby knows about the hard work involved in building a business.

After graduating with an Arts/Law degree in 1986, Maree took the plunge, borrowed a little cash from Mum and hung a shingle out on the side veranda of her house . Ignoring the fact that female principals were then (as now) pretty thin on the ground, Maree has built the practice into a busy conveyancing and commercial firm over the ensuing years.

With husband David Gillott, she has a number of other property and business interests in diverse fields, and plans to expand shortly into organic farming.

Jocelynne Berry

Jocelynne Berry is our ‘young gun’! Jocelynne fitted in years of part-time study around a variety of different jobs -including one as our conveyancing clerk.

Jocelynne graduated with a law degree from QUT in 2006. Admitted in 2007, she has a practical and laid back approach to law (and life in general!).

Managing (sort of) to achieve work/life balance, when not working for us part time, she is hanging out with her husband and beautiful new baby girl!

Deanna Witcher

Deanna Witcher is an experienced legal secretary. She came to work with us straight from school. Since then, she has proved herself very efficient in a number of different fields, including the conveyancing which is our bread and butter.

Hollie Wiffen

Hollie is our youngest team member. In addition to working full time, she is completing her senior year of high school by correspondence, while also completing in record time a legal office traineeship. She plans to tackle a law degree next !

Jenny Menz

Jenny Menz is our ‘mother hen’. A highly experienced legal secretary , she acts as office manager and PA to the boss. She keeps the wheels on Maree’s busy schedule, which can be likened to herding cats in a blizzard.

Ann Hargreaves makes up the team- she’s our book keeper! She keeps the money ticking over, and keeps us on track.

She is a vital member of our team.
